I made sticky buns for breakfast this morning and got super big smiles!!!
I had seen a recipe on pinterest and decided to try it out.
The original recipe can be found here, but I decided to double it (which made two layers), so I am going to post my adaptation of it.
Sticky Bun Breakfast Ring
4 small tubes refrigerator buttermilk biscuits (10's)
6 Tbsp butter, melted
1 cup pankcake syrup
2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 tsp cinnamon
Spray a bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray. Combine the melted butter and syrup in a small bowl and set aside. In another small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Place about a third of the syrup mixture in the bottom of the pan. Then sprinkle a third of the brown sugar mixture on top. Lay two of the cans of biscuits in the pan to make one layer (sort of overlapping). Pour another third of the syrup and sugar mixtures over the first layer of biscuits. Then lay the other two cans of biscuits on top of the first layer to make a second layer. Top with remaining syrup and sugar mixtures. Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for a couple of minutes in the pan, then invert onto a serving platter. Enjoy!
